The National Class A Scow Association exists to encourage and promote amateur yacht racing in Class A Scows. We establish and enforce scantling rules and specifications for Class A Scows and guide the advance of continued evolutionary development of the Class through the development and enforcement of the scantling rules. We have worked to avoid the rapid obsolescence of yachts through radical changes in the scantling rules or specifications and to promote proper testing of any new developments prior to adoption.
Our association is made up of Regular and Non-Owner Helmsman members. Regular members are owners of National Class A Scows. The association is governed by a Board of Directors including a Commodore, Vice-Commodore and Secretary-Treasurer.
